A collection of dance paintings covering many different dance techniques.
The majority are painted in the dance hall or worked up from sketches, never from photographs. The aim is to get the feeling of movement, energy and the sheer joy of the dance into the painting. I have never seen a dancer who is not happy doing what they do.
I particularly enjoy trying to capture in paint the enthusiasm and energy of non classically trained dancers of all ages from 9 to 90 years young. Their dancing is as unpredictable as my painting.
